I was so shocked to receive a candle is my beauty voxbox from Influenster. It was a pleasant surprise! Really :-) I got the scent Pumpkin Cupcake and that's EXACTLY what it smells like mixed with fall! Me and my mom fell in love instantly. We are very into holiday smells and scents. We placed it on the dining room table and the scent took over the room it was amazing and very comforting. I plan on purchasing some more for Xmas presents/ stocking stuffers!

Boots No7 Beautiful Skin

Boots No7 Beautiful skin night cream - I enjoyed testing out this products because I've never tried any of their line of products and I needed to add some moisture into my night time routine. The first night I tried this product I woke up with a fresh and healthy looking face, I did not look like I just woke up and I thought I was still dreaming my face a natural glow and looked very refreshed. Omg! I loveeeeeeeee these lashes so much. I usually stay away from lashes because of how hard they are to apply. These were so good looking and easy to put on. They looked great on me. I received a lot of compliments. These are really great. Wish I would of found these a long time ago. I was away when I decided to bring these lashes for a great look. I was worried because I didn't have scissors with my and was worried about them fitting correctly, They fit perfectly! The glue stuck great AND when I took them off they still looked great so I saved them to wear for a later event. I can't wait. I'd recommend these to everyone. NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Custom Compact

I always stayed away from NYC products because I assumed they weren't worth it. Boy oh boy have I been missing out!! I did not expect the results that I got with this small convenient & organized eyeshadow compact. It helps you from a-z! (Eyelid primer included) From the labels on the front to the diagram on the back you can't go wrong. The consistency of the shadows are great nice and smooth makes application easier as well as making everything blend lovely into one another. This would be great for beginners in make up or if you want to learn eyeshadow placement and where what belongs on the eye lid.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure

I was in Duane Reade yesterday trying to find a nail hardener and a baby pink nail polish. I didn't find the color I wanted. As I was approaching the cash register to checkout one of the stock men told me that Sally Hansens nail polish was on sale I was shocked because there was no sticker indicating so. The sale is only for the complete salon manicure which usually runs 9 dollars. They were on sale for 2.29 which was a steal. The man told me that they are trying to get rid of them because her company wants to change the bottle. I'm guessing that all the stores that carry that line of her nail polishes will be going on sale too! Keep an eye out. What's so lovely about those particular nail polishes is that they have a thick brush that makes a clean and easy application. I ended up mixing a cream ish color called "Shall we dance" with another Sally Nail polish I got called "I pink I can" together I got the color I was looking for :) & great for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Influenster Relaunch!

Influenster has revamped their webpage! A lot of things are different now but the same great concept is still in effect! Now when you get the badge of your choice you get a number of how great or experienced you are in that field! CLEAR SCALP & HAIR BEAUTY THERAPY™ Review

Just used this shampoo and conditioner in my hair. I am african american and I thought this product wouldnt work well with my shoulder length relaxed hair. Boy was I surprised. As soon as I put the shampoo in my hair it immediately became silky and detangled. The conditioner adds shine and silk as well. I would def buy this because it works and is inexpensive. When I blow dried my hair afterwards it remained detangled with no breakage or shedding. The smell is amazing! I love how it smells. The packaging is cute.

Always & Tampax Always Radiant Collection

I'm so glad that I got to take part in testing out these products for Influenster. Especially The Always & Tampax Radiant Collection! I think it's great that the two leading brands in feminine hygiene are coming together to put a wonderful collection on the shelves for us ladies! The packaging the items came in is super cute and discrete. The Pantyliners and pads are very thin but super absorbent like always (no pun intended!) lol. The tampons are very smooth and easy to insert. I highly recommend this collection to any female that wants to have a relaxed and comfortable menstrual.

Quaker Soft Baked Banana Nut Bar

I recieved a Quaker Soft Baked Banana Nut Bar in my Influenster box to review :) I thought it was nice of them to incorporate a snack... lol (Foodie)! I'm not too fond of nuts or things with them. But I figured it was my job to be able to review the products fully. The bar had many different textures but most of all was very soft and chewy. It was very flavorable. The packaging also said it could be warmed in the microwave :) I didnt try that but if I ever buy them I'm sure I would. I love Quakers Oatmeals and never thought they would come out with something like this. I think its a great snack to bring with you while on the go. It's not messy in any way and is delightful. It's also a healthy snack for children. 

Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color

I've been testing out the products that were sent to me for review by Influenster and I immediately fell in love with this product 💜. The things it does is amazing! I've always wanted to purchase this product but never did due to the price being that I didn't know if it would work or not but this is is worth every cent. The application is simple The color is bold and everyone should have one!

Hawaiian Tropic silk hydration SPF 30

Recently I had a beach day. I could not plan on going without including sunscreen of course. So I brought along the Hawaiian tropic silk hydration in SPF 30 that I had received in my summer beauty voxbox from influenster to test and review. I applied it to my face to help prevent aging and sun burn. As
Soon as I placed the product on my face I fell in love it was so smooth and so silky! I kept applying it for that reason. It did burn my eyes when a little got inside (I got carried away) because of how good it felt on my skin. I also applied it to my stretch
marks to avoid them from getting any darker and on my tattoo. This sunscreen lasts 12 hours! Highly recommended

Yes, you've read that correctly girl.. Absolutely free! Theres no way around it that would require you to pay. Browsing videos on youtube and I came across a guru that was sent products to review completely free of cost! You create an account and earn badges that apply to your lifestyle. Whether you enjoy beauty, outdoors, are a mother, live in a certain region or are in college like myself there are badges for every type of person. To unlock lifestyle badges you simply click on the badge you are interested in a little survey will pop up with about 5 questions asking you certain things about the badge you want. For example, how often you do that activity and about how much money you spend monthly on products for the activities you take part in. Simple right? Get on it. There isnt a limit to as many badges you can get there isnt a catch. About every couple of months they select individuals that have specific badges and qualify for the box that they send out. This month they sent out mom vox boxes, and beauty Voxboxes for moms and people interested in beauty. Not everyone who has a beauty bagde is gaurenteed to get a beauty vox box everytime they send beauty boxes out, They choose certain individuals that meet certain qualifications which are usually unknown. Beauty Army.. Love/Hate Relationship!

Okay Dolls... It's arrived. As I stated in an earlier post I had issues with my Beauty Army account. So I had been waiting a while and heard nothing about my box so I decided to contact the company Via email... which is their only form of communication for now(SUCKS) the woman I spoke with told me my account was deactivated & blah blah blah basically the 6 items I chose werent available anymore so she told me to tell her what I picked and what was still available she would put in my kit and gave my a list of things to chose from like 10 items to choose my remaining 3 items from and I did so. The kit took a while to arrive like a week plus. Meanwhile It was time to select products for next months box and I had trouble with that as well so she assisted me as much as she could through email. She then alerted me that I would be refunded in addition for the inconvience which was cool. But I loved the items I chose mainly because I chose them.. The initial ones I chose were better but these work great! here they are, Sorry for the picture quality.

BeautyArmy Drama!

So as I was intending on subscribing with BeautyArmy (monthly subscription where you can chose your own 6 samples) I received an email telling me to choose my 6 samples so I did that and received an email telling me that my box was being put together and would be shipped out shortly. About 15 days went by so I decided to contact the company via email. They alerted me that my account was disabled??? What? You charged me for my box ($12) and wasn't going to alert me something went wrong at all? The rep assured me she would fix the issue and told me to tell her the items I chose and that she would prepare my box. 3 of the 6 samples I chose were now unavailable !!!! So she gave me a list of the things that were left over to chose from or I could of received a refund. I chose to get this box then unsubscribe for the inconvenience. This is not something you look forward to when becoming a first time customer!!! So annoyed. Actually livid. Huge disappointment! Will take pics when it arrives, these are definitely warning signs ladies of how prepared these companies are and aren't on top of things. Goodluck with your experiences

My first MyGlam and Birchbox subscriptions for June have arrived!

I was very impressed with the MyGlam box! Being that I heard some so so reviews 
about the company. The theme for this months box was "Out All Night" which I 

instantly noticed when I opened up the hot pink bubble wrap was a very gold and 
sparkly little clutch like bag that has a snap clasp! So very cute. 
Inside were three cards one with the theme that showed the lovely 
AndreasChoice! One of the affiliates and also a very well known YouTube guru!

I loved how received a product for every aspect of beauty.

Quality of box: I was surprised with the sizes of  the samples, definitely enough product to see if you love or just like the product! The cosmetic products I received seem to be full size. Definitely not samples. Which is great because most women complain about their boxes not containing make-up. Not here! It was actually that the other items other than makeup were samples

This months theme was Jet Set and included things you may need when traveling or 
on the go this summer! Or even just traveling where ever. All cosmetic products were said to be long lasting. One thing I disliked about this months Birchbox is that the 3 out of the 4 samples were very tiny! The Biggest sample was the UK brand eye stick as you will see below:

Quality of box: As I stated before the samples aren't that big to gage whether I like the product completely. The cosmetic products however are. If cosmetics are what you are looking for then maybe this would be a good box for you. It is up to you to decide whether you would like to spend $10 on 2 make-up products.

What I enjoy about these are the travel friendly beauty products and both themes included long-lasting wear for these hot summer days coming up! I enjoyed my Myglam box more than Birchbox. I'm not sure if Myglam only included big makeup samples because the them was "Out All Night" for a night out with your girls but regardless I loved everything about it especially the packaging! Beauty boxes/Subscriptions!! Beauty Army, Myglam, & Birchbox

Hey! I know I'm a little behind with the whole beauty subscription box things- I used to think they were all a waste of money for just a couple of samples! But I went ahead and tried Julep boxes because they had there intro boxes for a penny! I know I'm cheap, but I'm really picky and don't like wasting $! With this deal I really wasn't losing anything so I figured why not??! I got my first box and was more excited about it coming than I was when I seen what was in it. The packaging was cute and so were the polishes BUT the quality of the polishes weren't that great- streaky and too thick, lots of clumping. Disappointment but for the sake of a penny not too big of a deal. So I figured I'll just cancel the subscription and be over with it... NOPE! I was wrong! I loved the anxiety that came with the box and trying stuff out and I love make-up and all things girly. So what do I do??? Sign up for 3 beauty subscriptions! Beauty Army, Myglam, & Birchbox! But to my luck was put on the waiting list for all 3! Maybe it was a sign? If it was I ignored it and got membership for all! So for this month I will be doing reviews of all three boxes and in depth comparisons of each.. Pictures, details and all. Hopefully to save someone else the time and give them some help! Hair update 5-13-12

I finally relaxed after a 11 almost 12 week stretch, I didn't intend on 
stretching for that long because I thought it would be impossible. At times it 
was rough but in reality it wasn't as bad because I only had leave out to deal 
with as well as my edges. The hardest part was avoiding applying too much heat 
to these areas to prevent breakage and split ends. I used heat protectant before 
applying heat and tried to limit my heat pass to one day a week (Usually Wednesdays) and tied it down to preserve for the rest of the week. I used Hawaiian Silky No Lye relaxer. Here were my results

I believe that the use of Bliss du Jour as well as incorporating organic coconut oil to seal my hair is helping tremendously in my hair growth journey! I have also loved the results of the Hawaiian Silky relaxer over the ORS relaxer. After I rinsed out the relaxer I used ORS's Hair repair nourishing conditioner and let it sit on my hair for about an hour and rinsed it out. I love the elasticity it gives my hair and the smooth texture it adds as well as sheen.

After this I got my hair braided and ready for my next unit. I haven't been oiling my scalp as much with the Bliss du Jour because it tends to make my unit oily. I am waiting for clips for my unit so at night oiling my hair won't be as much of a job. - Until next time xoxo 

Update + Bliss du Jour

It's been so long since I've updated a post on here (Sorry). School has been keeping my time, as it should. I have been well and blessed to say the least. I am still keeping up with my healthy hair care regimen. Right now I am about 8 weeks post relaxer, plan on relaxing the first week in May which will make me about 10 weeks post. Trying to stretch as far as I can, though my hair doesn't truly need to be relaxed now it's behaving but I have about and inch and a half of new growth! :-O Kind of anxious to see how that will turn out. Don't believe I relaxed my hair correctly last time (did it myself) so all of my hair wasn't relaxed properly some was straight with no texture and some was. I have added some new products into my regimen. One being Bliss du Jour which is a homemade all natural blend of oils from a company called Euphoria and Bliss :) So far so good. I was interested into buying when I was watching a YouTube guru who's YouTube name is masturKEIZZtion. She showed a lot of progress in her journey when she incorporated her bliss du jour into her regimen when she had sew ins. I am still using the oils and I am noticing my hair become softer and are fuller in certain places. I have added some Cayenne into my regimen to aid as a stimulant and promote growth. I have been using about 2-3 times a day. Morning, mid day and night. The oil isn't heavy and my scalp quickly absorbs it. I apply it in my scalp (in between my braids) and of course my edges and nape (trouble areas) I am taking pictures every week or so to document process :) Megatek is in the oil blend which is a product used for horses and is used as a growth aid. A side affect of Megatek is shedding (which I haven't experienced yet and hopefully wont) but I have added some garlic into my blend to combat the shedding if it does occur. What I have experienced is extreme itchiness in my scalp (It's not extreme but I'm used to none) lol and I assume that its from my scalp being stimulated and experiencing growth :) So it doesn't bother me as much. The blend also includes sulfur which is a growth aid/stimulant as well.
